HELT stands for Health, Ethics, Law, and Technology - four broad subject areas that intersect each other in discourses around improving quality and access to health care, or advancing medical research beyond the state-of-the-art. Building on our annual flagship HELT Symposium, this series of talks hosted at VUB’s Main Campus in Etterbeek provides a dynamic platform for thought-provoking debate on digital health policy and regulation.
Each session is split into two interactive parts. First, expert speakers present pressing challenges at the intersection of healthcare technology and regulatory frameworks. Second, the floor opens to the audience, transforming the room into a vibrant, unhurried physical space for organic conversation and deeper collective reflection. Together, we explore a wide range of critical themes, including health data privacy, AI deployment in clinical settings, ethical frameworks in healthcare delivery, and regulatory pathways for advanced medical technologies.
Time to connect. Time to reflect. Time to talk.
