The FASTER project will examine the impact and role of first responders in cases of disasters. It will take into account the entire lifecycle of emergency preparedness and response, including the planning, logistical support, maintenance and diagnostics, training and management. The ultimate goal of the project is to further the European Union’s ability to respond to emergencies.

VUB-HALL leads WP2 “Social, Ethical, Legal and Privacy” and is responsible for assessing the impact in terms of ethical responsibility, fundamental rights, data protection and privacy, as well as addressing any issues identified during the design and the development phases of the project’s solutions. VUB-HALL will produce a series of reports, including the SELP Compliance Framework, SELP Specifications, and SELP Recommendations.
