We are happy to share that our special issue of the European Health and Pharma Law Review, in collaboration with Lexxion Publisher, is now out! This special issue is edited by HALL researcher Anastasiya Kiseleva, echoing the panel ‘One Health, EHDS and Data Privacy: Towards New Horizons’ during the 3rd Health, Law, and Technology Symposium (HELT 2025) organised by Health & Ageing Law Lab (HALL) in Brussels.
The theme of this special issue is "One Health" - the concept that it recognises the deep interconnection between human, animal, and environmental health. It promotes a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to addressing global health challenges, acknowledging the interdependencies between people, animals, and ecosystems. The special issue includes the following amazing work:
- "Will The European Health Data Space Help Advance Research into Women’s Health? The Case of Femtech", by Klaudia Kwiatkowska
- "Regulatory Protection of Medicinal Product Data: Data Exclusivity and Market Protection", by Jolanta Pietrkiewicz-Knecht
- "From Data Sharing to Data Trust: Reclaiming Medical Secrecy in the European Health Data Space", by Dominika Kuźnicka- Błaszkowska
- "A Want or A Need? Digital Health Technologies and Their Role in Reshaping the Right to Health", by Cong Yao
- "Proposal to Accelerate the Development and Approval of Novel Cannabinoid Medicines", by Christopher Hayes and Emma Cheetham (Sonas Pharmaceuticals N.I. Limited)
- "Sweet D-Mannose: Medicinal Product or Medical Device?", by Peter von Czettritz and Dr. Fabian Huber
Many thanks to the editors of the European Health and Pharma Law Review for making this special issue a reality, and the HALL team's contribution to ensure the high quality of submissions! This also marks a wonderful conclusion to the HELT Symposium 2025 — stay tuned for the 2026 edition!
