In brief...
The SUN project aims to advance the social interactivity of XR technology by establishing scalable models with sustained and convincing virtual environments. The project will also improve the data-processing capability of wearable devices and develop wearable sensors and tactile interfaces to improve user experience.
Our role
VUB-HALL is the project’s legal and ethical partner, and is responsible for the analysis of legal, ethical, and societal issues of XR-related technologies VUB-HALL is lead partner of task 7.4 “Ethics and the GDPR”, which is divided into three subtasks: Mapping and analysis of legal and ethical issues, SELP impact assessment, and compliance monitoring. Moreover, VUB-HALL is task contributor in WP1 “Project Management”, WP2 “User Research and Scenario Definition”, WP6 “Piloting and Validation”, and WP7 “Impact and Outreach”.
