Professor Paul Quinn of the VUB’s Health & Ageing Law Lab (HALL) participated as a panelist at the Parliament Health Summit 2025, a key European policy forum on 4th November.
The panel, "Bolstering the digital transformation and AI to drive innovation," focused on Europe's strategy for digital transformation. Discussions centered on leveraging innovation to improve healthcare outcomes while ensuring equitable patient access and developing supportive regulatory frameworks.
During the session, Professor Quinn contributed expert analysis on the role of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) in this evolving landscape. He provided perspectives on the potential of the EHDS to advance AI-driven health innovation while also addressing the factors that will influence its implementation and success across member states.
