On May 23 and 24 the SmartCHANGE project had its kick-off meeting in the beautiful city of Ljubljana, Slovenia, where the coordinator of the project, Institut Jozef Stefan, is based. As customary for a kick-off meeting, the partners went through the description of the action and its work packages, eager to take on the work and the challenges of this very ambitious project, whose aim is to develop an AI-tool to assess the risk of developing non-communicable diseases in later stages of life in teenagers and children and help clinicians and healthcare professionals to propose behavioural changes for this demographic to reduce those very risks. VUB, the legal partner of the project, was represented at the meeting by Prof. Dr Paul Quinn, Dimitrios Dimitriou and Renato Sabbadini.
