Luka van der Veer

Luka van der Veer is a PhD researcher at the Law, Science, Technology and Society (LSTS) research group and is a member of the Health and Ageing Law Lab (HALL). He started his position in December 2021 under the supervision of Prof. dr. Paul Quinn. He graduated with a M.Sc. in Comparative and International Politics and a M.Sc. in Sociology at the KU Leuven.

Luka is part of the SOCIO-BEE (Wearables and droneS fOr CIty Socio-Environmental Observations and BEhavioral ChangE) research project where he works on legal, ethical and social issues related to the use of wearables, drones, and AI in the context of citizen science.

His main research interests are the intersection between Science and Technology Studies and socio-legal studies, political theory and urban studies.
