Doctoral researcher Ruoxin Su of the VUB’s Health & Ageing Law Lab (HALL) has been selected to join the European Data Protection Board’s Support Pool of Experts (SPE) Programme as a legal expert in new technologies.
The Support Pool of Experts is a strategic initiative of the EDPB aimed at strengthening the capacity of European Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) to supervise and enforce data protection rules. By bringing together external specialists in legal and technical fields, the programme helps develop common tools and support authorities in addressing complex and emerging data protection challenges.
The EDPB expects to carry out a series of expert-led projects each year on topics of regulatory significance. When called upon, experts selected for the SPE Programme may provide independent expertise for specific projects when relevant.
