
HALL member Ashwinee Kumar recently contributed to an OECD report titled “Facilitating the Secondary Use of Health Data for Public Interest Purposes Across Borders.” The report explores challenges and opportunities in cross-border health data sharing, focusing on governance frameworks, regulatory harmonization, and public trust. Ashiwinee provided input through desk research and participation in an OECD roundtable discussion held on 21 May 2024.
The findings highlight the importance of aligning policies and procedures to support responsible health data reuse while addressing public concerns. This work contributes to ongoing discussions on improving international collaboration in health research and policy.
